  • Who Should Attend This Course: The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Approved 3-Day First Aid at Work Training Course (formerly 4 Day First Aid at Work) provides training for qualification as a First Aider within the workplace under the guidance of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
  • Instructor Ratio: 6 x trainees (maximum) per Instructor
  • Course Duration: 3 day Training Course (24 hours total )
  • Location: Training can be delivered on-site and off-site

Aims of the course

At the end of the course delegates will have an understanding and be able to offer essential first aid at work. Participants gain a thorough knowledge of first aid techniques ranging from CPR to dealing with blood loss and shock. It enables them to deal with any incident within their workplace.

Course Content

  • Unconsciousness
  • Dealing with minor and major bleeding
  • Recognising and treating strokes
  • Treating epileptic emergencies
  • Heart attacks and acute heart conditions
  • Fractures and practical treatment of
  • An understanding of the HSE guidance and first aid at work regulations 1981

Prerequisites for this course

Operatives should be medically fit including good eyesight and hearing.

Achievement Measurement for this course

The training is carried out in accordance with Accredited Standards s includes both theory and practical assessments leading to each trainee being issued a certificate of competence.
