  • Course Duration: 1 day Training Course ( 7 1/2 Hours )
  • Location: Training can be delivered on-site and off-site depending on your requirements; training delivered on-site will be more advantageous to the trainees as the training can be specific to their workplace activities.

Aims of the course

The CCNSG Leading A Team Safely is an additional day for persons who have already attained the National Safety Passport, and are responsible for and have a key role in maintaining Supervision / Managing health and safety on sites. More emphasis is placed on trainee participation on this course. It is valid for three years from the date of the course. The aim of the CCNSG Leading a Team Safely is to set the scene within the context of legislation and general Health and Safety aspects.

Regulations Covered

  • Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974
  • Manual Handling Regulations 1992
  • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
  • Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992
  • Plus many other legislations covering the workplace

Course Content

  • The instruction takes place over a 8-hour day, and includes a series of student exercises
  • The course explores the role that planning, communicating and monitoring performance plays in achieving the required standards of health and safety on Clients sites
  • The key duties laid down in the Construction Design and Management Regulations are also covered
  • Candidates will be expected to participate in a number of interactive exercises including:
  • Risk assessment and risk control : Preparing and presenting a toolbox talk : An accident investigation
  • Safe Behaviour at Work

Prerequisites for this course

The delegate should work as a manager or supervisor, direct a team in the workplace or is looking to enhance their skill set for future advancement within the workplace. This course is only delivered in English and therefore a prerequisite of this course is that delegates are fluent in the English language.

Achievement Measurement for this course

The training is carried out in accordance with ECITB/CCNSG Accredited Standards includes a theory assessment leading to each trainee being issued a CCNSG photo ID passport Card.
